For new Muslims

Welcome hometo Islam.

What do you need right now?

Begin with one thing.

Tell us where you are. New Muslims get a path. Seekers get the right next place without creating an account.

ii

Your first thirty days

Five steps. Concrete. In order.

Small enough to do today. Sequenced so each one builds the next. No syllabus — just the next minute.

Step 1 of 5

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّه

Say it once with conviction — in Arabic if you can, in English if not — and you are Muslim. The Prophet ﷺ said Islam wipes out what came before it: every previous sin, lifted. From today, repeat the shahadah (the testimony of faith) often. It is the seed everything grows from.

  1. Step 1Day 1

    Shahadah

    أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّه

Say it once with conviction — in Arabic if you can, in English if not — and you are Muslim. The Prophet ﷺ said Islam wipes out what came before it: every previous sin, lifted. From today, repeat the shahadah (the testimony of faith) often. It is the seed everything grows from.

  2. Step 2Day 3

    Wudu

    The wash before every prayer.

Wudu (the ritual wash before prayer) is hands, mouth, nose, face, arms, head, ears, feet — each in order, with running water. We walk you through every step with imagery and a short video. It prepares your body to stand before Allah, and many new Muslims describe it as the first practice that feels grounding.

  3. Step 3Day 5

    Al-Fatihah

Seven verses. The opening of every prayer.

Al-Fatihah is the first chapter of the Qur'an and the heart of every salah (prayer). Read it in English first to understand it, then learn the Arabic line by line with transliteration. Most new Muslims memorise it within a few days. Once it lives in you, prayer becomes possible.

  4. Step 4Week 2

    Your first salah

Stand. Bow. Prostrate. The shape of prayer.

Begin with one prayer a day — Fajr if you can wake, Maghrib if mornings are hard. We walk you through each movement and each phrase, with audio. Don't wait until you know everything. The Prophet ﷺ said the most beloved deeds to Allah are those done consistently, even if small.

  5. Step 5Week 3

    Visit a mosque

Step in once. Be greeted by name.

We'll tell a trusted contact at a mosque near you that you're coming — usually for Maghrib or Isha, when it's quieter. Someone will meet you at the door. Stay for prayer, meet one or two people, leave when you're ready. The first visit is the hardest. After that, the mosque starts to feel like home.

Mentorship

Support from a brother or sister who understands the next step.

For moments that need human support, mentors help with practical next steps: prayer, mosque visits, family conversations, and keeping steady.

  • Same gender, always

Brothers with brothers, sisters with sisters. Matched by language, stage, and city.

  • A first mosque visit

We tell the mosque you are coming. Someone is waiting at the door. You will not stand alone.

  • A direct line

Not a forum. Not a group. One person you can message when something feels heavy.
